Humantay Lake full day
The VILCABAMBA mountain range shelters at the foot of the snowy HUMANTAY the fascinating lagoon of the same name, at an altitude of (4600 m), a place that in recent years has become one of the most visited tourist destinations.
To get to this beautiful destination, we will depart from Cusco towards the town of SORAYPAMPA (3900 m) and from this point we will have another spectacular SNOW OF SALKANTAY.
After having been recognized in their respective hotels, we will start the trip from Cusco to MOLLEPATA (2803 m) from 5:00 a.m. and arrive at 7:20 a.m. to receive our breakfast, then we will continue the trip to the SORAYPAMPA sector (3900 m) and from this point we will begin to walk for an hour with 20 minutes on a high Andean footpath with multicolored landscapes where we will see areas to harmonize with the mountains, we will arrive at LAGUNA DE HUMANTAY (4600 M) We will have a visit of 1 hour with 20 minutes together with our guide who provides information about this place, it is also possible to see llamas and alpacas and the diversity of flora where ichus and bofedales reign. After visiting the lagoon, we will descend to Soraypampa to take our transport back to Mollepata for our lunch.
At the end of the visit of these different landscapes, villages and streams, we will return to Cusco and we will be around 17:30 pm, where we will finish our visits.
NOTE: if you are animated in the snow of SALKANTAY AND LAGUNA DE HUMANTAY you can offer the service of 2 days and 1 night in one of the armed camps of DOMOS with private services and with panoramic views to the snow of Salkantay for a pleasant rest to the light of the stars or sunrise.
