Tour – Chullpas of Sillustani
Tour – Chullpas of Sillustani a series of typical and unique in PERU and AMERICAN archaeological constructions located in areas along or nearby the lagoon Umayo.
Are towers of stone, considered as funerary monuments of the COLLAS.
Built some more 12 meters high and ladradas in volcanic stones, constitute a challenge to the law of terrestrial gravity, by having smaller diameter at the base that at the top, the age of these buildings is a historical enigma.
The construction procedure to carry stones toward the higher parts was based on the modularity of inclined ramps as planes.
To the East of the promontory where the chullpas semicircle of diameter circles there are varied called CIRCLES of the SUN, the way of the
Druidic circles of England.
At 13:50 Hrs. Our customers (passengers) are collected from their hotels by our guide, to leaves to Sillustani, (45 min travel approx.) by Bus; We arrive at the Archaeological Complex, walk uphill along a path to the most important necropolis of Pre-Incas and Incas.
Where we will appreciate the magnificent architecture and engineering that shown in the funerary towers of Sillustani and enjoy the positive energy of this sacred place (1hour 30 min to visit approx.), 17:00 hrs. Approx. the bus leaves with destination to Puno.
On the way, we will have a small stop to visit the rural houses of Atuncolla, where we can see the local custom, who living in their typical houses built with stones, mud and straw. Also you can see closely South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas and you will have the opportunity to take the photographs with them, then return to the city of Puno, around 18:00 Hrs. approx. we arrive to Puno and transfer to respective hotels.
