The last Inca bridge QUESHUACHACA, every year in the month of June, the 4 communities of HUINCHIRI, CHAUPIBAMBA, CHOCCAYHUA and CCOLLANA carry out the reconstruction of the last Inca bridge thus maintaining the tradition at present. Using the raw material of the “ICHU” vegetable fiber that abounds in the heights of the communities, this ancient technology together with rituals and teamwork has been maintained for more than 500 years.

Our tour will start before pick up at your hotels from 4:00 to 4:30 am and then start the trip at 5:00 am, our tourist transport will take us through different districts of the city of Cusco until you reach COMBAPATA one of the first what districts we will know, at this point we are a stop to take our breakfast and make use of the hygienic services, then we will go to the Combapata viewpoint where we can appreciate panoramic views and the union of two rivers the VILCANOTA and the river SALCA, continuing with We will arrive to the community of PABELLONES where the Pabellones volcano is located. After a brief stop we will continue traveling until arriving to the YANAOCA district, an Andean community dedicated to agriculture and livestock. After an hour of travel and after having known these communities, we will arrive at the Q’EWE district where the bridge of QUESHUACHACA is located, our guide will give a brief introduction to start the visit of the last Inca bridge.
The last Inca bridge is built by vegetable fibers called ICHU and has a length of 28.67 meters and every June of each year it is rebuilt, the four communities give life to this architecture, our guide will tell us the history of this work of Inca engineering.
After lunch we will continue with the visit of the place and we will walk about 15 to 20 minutes up to appreciate some beautiful lagoons called ASNACQOCHA, PAMPAMARCA, ACOPIA and POMACANCHI. We will also take advantage to observe a great amount of typical flora and fauna of the area.
For our return to Cusco we will be a stop (optional) in RUMIPUNKU (stone gate) to finally return to Cusco for two hours of travel we will be arriving at Cusco at approximately 17:30 p.m.
